Sorry! I am still trying to put this page together while running the business and doing all the work at the same time. Mistletoe is a parasitic plant. It can but does not always kill its host tree. There are many kinds of mistletoe. Here in Austin, Texas we see the genus Phoradendron mostly. This genus contain as many 170 species. Phoradendron tomentosum is usually what you will see in our trees. An interesting fact is that the plant has no necessary life span. It is limited by the life span of the host. In other words it can live hundreds of years.
